Rep. Mike Krusee Leads Creation of Expanded Higher Education in East Williamson County
AUSTIN - Early last night, the Texas House of Representatives passed a measure that creates broader higher education opportunities in East Williamson County. The bill, numbered House Bill 2074, was introduced by Rep. Mike Krusee.

Speaking from his office in the capitol on Friday, Rep. Krusee explained, "The creation of a new Multi-Institutional Teaching Center in East Williamson County provides collaboration between Temple College and other regional colleges."

"This collaboration will offer programs closer to home for recent high school graduates and area workers seeking to improve job skills."
Representative Krusee expressed his optimism that the Senate will pass the bill before the end of Legislative Session, May 28th: "New Higher Ed opportunities secure the future of rural communities throughout Texas."

"I contacted Senator Ogden and other Senate colleagues to reemphasize the importance of expanded higher education in East Williamson County," continued Krusee.

"The new higher education facility will encourage more employment opportunities for residents of Taylor, Hutto, Thrall and Coupland."
